R E S T O R E

Attachment theory provides the framework of our approach to caring for our children and young people. Many of our children present with a variety of behavioural and psychological challenges, so we offer safe and emotionally containing environments in which they can begin or continue to explore what they have experienced with the aim of restorative resolution.

We are committed to maintaining a person – centred approach in all aspects of our work and provide the social, emotional, recreational and academic support that our young people need to fulfil their potential.

We are proactive in promoting a positive and focused attitude towards education, learning and training as this will be key to widening opportunity and confidence in our young people.

We create environments for our young people that reflects that of a family home environment, whilst still ensuring that everyone is kept safe within the Homes.

We are committed to enabling each child and young person to develop their potential by providing a staff team dedicated to using a child – centred and inclusive approach in all aspects of our work. All the staff work to empower children and young people and ensure they are given a voice and have a strong sense of their inherent value.

We have created a thorough Independence Programme that focuses on preparing for Independent Living with a strong emphasis on Budgeting and money management. We ensure that our children and young people learn the skills required to manage the money they are provided with or earn.

We are committed to ensuring that every child / young person receives high quality and holistic health care. We have good links, close relationships and effective partnerships with local health professionals and will employ the services of specialist consultants where necessary.

Our ethos is to integrate our children and young people as much as possible into society as part of their living and learning experience. Individual talents and interests are identified and nurtured, and we offer a full and varied programme of recreational, sporting and cultural activities as this is important to their development and academic education.
